Hello again,

i show your site and I like mainly the abstract partition. I think that we are very similar at the abstract style. This is very important because the beginnings are very different. I am a part of western culture and you are a part of east culture.

Diamantis from Greece.

I was born in 1959 in Drama and live in Kavala, a city of northern Greece.
As far as I remember myself, I like painting. I have never watched any artschool course about painting. For this reason, I consider myself self –taught. I assume that Caravaggio, Velasquez and Rembrand are my teachers. I studied a lot about the theory and history of art.
During my childhood I used to copy the classic painters in order to learn how to paint. I had been provided with books of art which I studied continuously. That period I was influenced by Dali and Magritte. I created my first compositions with surrealism and symbolism.
From 1985 I have started to make my first attempts on abstract compositions.
My works are exhibited rarely in several topical group exhibitions.
In 2000, felling lost, I decided to follow the basic instructions of experienced wayfarers who consult that, as soon as you feel that you have been lost, the wisest action is to follow your footsteps backwards until you find yourself in known places.
Thus therefore, I started to travel back to the constant values of the grandmasters. I studied deeply the work of Leonardo Da Vinci, Michaelangelo, Caravaggio, Paulo Uccelo, Piero de la Francesca, attempting to captivate the ineffable merit of the work of the big figures of art. I was trying to arrest the quintessence of painting.
I tried to use sand and glue in order to create a surface on canvas emphasising the colours and lines with this rough texture.
The station of this route is my painting “Did Rembrand knows Altamira?” , an artwork which is belonged in a private collection. Looking at this painting, someone could see the " "Night patrol" of Rembrand painted on a rock surface of a cave, someone else could see an abstract painting with many colors here and there that luckily resulted in that classic piece of art (as, according to the theory of chaos, a chimpanzee pressing randomly the keyboard of a typewriter has the possibility to write Shakespeare ) some other could see a detrited cave painting of Altamira, which when Rembrand faced it with its mat colors, he painted his classical work.
Although my artwork is appeared abstract, nothing is random, except the wet colour, the lines dances composing abstract figures reminding the viewers familiar scenes moving at the edge between the remembrance and oblivion.
Therefore, the real meaning of the art is what cannot be said, the ineffability. From the beginning 2007 he collaborates with online gallery Meredithlaing who is working in the USA , mainly in LOS ANGELES and will open gallery in HOUSTON. http://www.meredithlaing.com/
Also it collaborates with online gallery Artphilo who is working with Greek artists in London. http://www.artphilogallery.com/

Usha Rai

Usha RaiI am K.Usha P.Rai,62,native of Udupi,Karnataka State in India. I presently reside in Bangalore with my husband, B.A.Prabhakar Rai. I am blessed with two sons and a grand son. My husband and I are both creative writers in Kannada and Tulu languages. Both of us are retired now.

In 2005 we met with a serious road accident and we were confined to bed for nearly six months. By Gods grace we survived though there are some physical disabilities.

After the accident I took up painting seriously and that has helped me to overcome the mental trauma of the accident. I get immense satisfaction from painting.I like to paint sceneries, flowers, ruins of history, people of India, and Gods of India.

Being a creative writer, I have published 7 novels, 2 short story collections, 3 collection of poems, 1 travellogue, 2 collection of essays and edited 12 books. I have got accolades for my writings and have been presented with awards in my state.

Now I want to continue being creative, though not
with the pen but with the brush. Eventhough I am 62, I still think I have enough energy and enthusiasm left in me to create good artwork.

Before the accident I was involved with social service activities. One part of the sale proceeds of my paintings will go for the education of the poor

 ……….Congrats for your work.
I'd want to be in touch with you. Thanks again. Best wishes

Amanda LaPagliaI have always been a bit of a loner i turned my attention to art when i was 7 by the time i was 10 i could copy cartoon drawing to perfection, and decided i wanted to be a commercial artist so i did two years night tech when i was 14 and was a qualified sign writer at sixteen Unfortunetly mother had other ideas and i ended up working in a milkbar at 15, then by the time i was 19 i was running a photo lab and was concidered one of their best colour printers I became very passionate about the things i loved most, animals and nature ,though i left the business when i was 24 Never to return so i said and i didnt for 20 years. recently teamed up with an old school mate Who also had the same passions and it is he that has awoken this sleeping fairy where as NOW when i take photos i can really see them ,its like a sexual awakening for me ,im a bit of a late bloomer i guess and im discovering my own true sexuality as well. I do hope that you you stay with me on my journey as the storm has now passed and watch me blossom ,.THE REAL ME ;is very kind never cruel to animals ,i will always stick up for the underdog.I will act like i trust you but i dont ,i detest liars and cannot forgive you for it (though god says i should) I hate greedy people,And if you do not like animals i wont like you.Im a very complex person yet simple too so im even looking forward to see what unfolds from here on for me .I learnt photography back in the old days of film and black & white and was also called on for touch up work on old photos i used a Canon Av1 back then (& still have it packed away somewhere) .I have had absolutely no training since returning as everything is now digital of course so im completely self taught and that includes this computor which i have only been using since November 2006 ,I also thank God And the Angels that the horrors in my life never come out in my work, and it only proves to me that no matter what happens to you in life nobody can break your Spirit.I also find it very odd (and i only noticed yesterday is that ;people say that im a very vibrant and happy person ,yet i dont wear bright clothes im very earthy & neutral, yet i have noticed that my pictures are very colourful. My man says its my bright personality shinning through.i giggled!.Visit My Website www.itsallgoodamanda.com

ANN MICELI DEMAJO

ANN MICELI DEMAJOI have lived in Malta all my life. Art has always been an interest however I only took up painting seriously a few years ago. I find it very relaxing and wholesome. I love working with acrylics because these provide the texture and color that I love so much. I hope my paintings bring some light and beauty to whoever looks at them.

Dear Jeevan:

Sorry for my delay in answer you. I just saw your site as well as your paintings. There are magnificent & colorful; how much time you dedicate for each one in average? I'm inclined to the details.

I hope you continue painting, and keep me in your mailing list. Are you selling much by publishing them in "Eye of the Art"? Did you subscribe already, or just in the trying phase.

I added your site to my "favorite File" so I could visit it some time again.

To see my full collection you could go to because I'm not going to continue in the "Eye of the Art" much longer.

Sincerely: Benito Alonso

at age 7 and continued drawing throughout his youth.

Drafting and Design and worked in this for 39 years. He

ARTIST STATEMENT
Benito Alonso has that Latin flair of appreciation for the
human form and the Caribbean appreciation for nature's
beauty as depicted in many of his portrait and scenery
combinations.
Mr. Alonso considers himself an Artist Plastic Surgeon, who
is able to correct or refine any unwanted imperfections in his
portrait of full body artwork. He works from a clear photo
so there are no uncomfortable hours of posing.
His work clearly demonstrates the combination of his

the individual for generations to come.

Hi Jeevan ,
…..I had a look at your site. Amazing how you achieve the digital work to look like actual paint. I like them.
I find looking at paintings on screen quite difficult as you can't see
the texture and the actual size.  Nice work………..

Thanks

thank you

Noora Ramah

  Noora Ramah

Noora RamahSimply my art is representation of our inner feelings which we don’t show often. It’s about our internal anger, sadness, hate, love and happiness.

Art to me means expression of the world we live in, and of what we see and experience. The purpose of my art is to provide, if somewhat indirect, glimpse into that clear and brilliant world of unreality which could be real in my art. To the extent that these prints help showing that way, is the extent to which these images succeed.
I don’t use shapes or figures in all my paintings and pieces of art. I just let the combinations of colors and strokes talk about what I feel and create the whole image of the story which I am trying to represent.

In the past year, my work has developed from simple printmaking methods to a more advanced level of meaning. I realized by working hard and trying to find new techniques with what’s surrounding me from nature and normal basic life needs; is that I was trying to achieve acceptance from people. I wanted people to approve the way I represent my inner thoughts is such society.

I believe good art stimulates the imagination of creating a new world on a surface of metal, wood or even a piece of paper it doesn’t matter, as long as there is an idea behind it and that is what I am trying to do....

Hello,
I’ve just been on your site and I love your colors and digital abstractions. Where do you live by the way?

Best regards

Pejouan Marie

Pejouan MarieAfter graduating as an art historian at the Ecole du Louvre and at the Institut d’Art et d’Archéologie de Paris, (1975/1980) I worked in cultural communication for a number of years before definitively turning to painting in 1997.
Both my training and my previous work have enabled me to create from the start a mature work, inspired by my passion for colour. Indeed, colour is an essential aspect of my work, both as brute material and as the privileged means of expression of my research.
The importance of compositional structure, of movement, and of the permanent interaction of colour, is the thread linking all my works together .
Since 2002, I have developed a style of creation where the pictorial element meets reality through the subjects I photograph: natural elements, landscapes, flowers or portraits…
I integrate these elements into my numeric creations in order to create imaginary representations or dreamscapes.
The objective representation of the subject is undermined and used but stays a consciously vindicated aspect of reality which is integrated in my work.
It is this meeting, between my imaginary vision of the world and its objective reality as expressed through photography, which I have been exploring with passion. These lateral relations have opened up the doors to the most creative means of proposing my own vision of the world
I work and I live in Paris.

Theresa

Theresa LoSchiavo

Theresa LoSchiavoTheresa LoSchiavo's photography is about capturing a moment. Her photographs illustrate the sensual side of women, while sensing the beauty within. Her touch of class is a rarity that is not often seen, which draws compliments from around the world on her web site, www.museme.com. She has a talent for discovering humanity within people, a skill that developed in her growing up in New York.

In a sense, Theresa LoSchiavo accidentally became a photographer. As a teenager in New York, she aspired to be a veterinarian, but abandoned that pursuit after she signed up for a photography class in high school. The moment Theresa stepped into a darkroom she was hooked. She studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York City where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1979. During that time, her art was displayed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and in galleries of Soho.
Eventually, Theresa moved to Washington State and began her business photographing horses and then, weddings- which ultimately led to her signature specialty of photographing women.
Theresa photographs diverse women of all ages. From housewives to SWAT officers- none of the women have been professional models. Theresa is all about individual allure. She elegantly uses a combination of black and white photography with real women in natural settings to best portray the depth of female intimacy. At the end of the day, the final result of her work is what inspires Theresa to do what she excels at- the intimate portrait.

Vivienne King

Vivienne KingA late bloomer, I started painting seriously at the Ruth Prowse school of Art in Cape Town in 1993. Since then I have studied with various great teachers and attended numerous workshops, notably the Tupelo Workshop at the National Gallery in Cape Town. My first solo exhibition was held in Grahamstown in 1997 at the National Festival of the Arts, where my poster won 2nd prize. I have exhibited at the Association of Visual Arts, the Bellville Library, Quincy's, The Cape Gallery, Veo Gallery, Studio Art and Kirstenbosch Gardens. I am a member of the South African Society of Artists and have had work accepted by them every year at their prestigious annual exhibition. I work in all media but my preferred medium is oil on board or canvas. I love the South African landscape with its rich variety and strong light and also the fantastic S.African fruit which inspires me to do still life. I also enjoy life study in a class room situation and Abstract painting. I like the space and light in my studio where I experiment with different colour mixes.
